How do I travel to Bordeaux?
For travelers originating in North America or other origins outside of Europe, a change of planes will be required in a major airline hub - for example, Paris, Amsterdam, Madrid or London. There is frequent service on Air France from Paris and Lyon to Bordeaux. Both airports (ORLY and Charles DeGaulle) in Paris are served by Air France flights to and from Bordeaux. It has been the experience of some attendees that purchase of two separate round trip tickets is cheaper than purchasing one ticket between your city of origin and Bordeaux. For example, it may be cheaper for you to fly round trip between your city of origin and Paris (Charles DeGaulle) and then purchase a separate round trip ticket on Air France between Paris (Charles DeGaulle) and Bordeaux. Check with your airline representatives for further details.
There is also frequent TGV rail service between Charles DeGaulle and Bordeaux. Bordeaux is also served by trains originating from other European cities.
